Windows

Posted on June 13, 2014 at 8:33 PM
Cleaning windows can be a lot of work or relatively easy. It depends on your cleaning formula and method.

Assemble a bucket & cloths,  I like to use white wash cloths for washing & white absorbent hand towels for drying.

I use a simple solution of 1/2 gallon of hot tap water 3 teaspoons of distilled vinegar & 1/4 teaspoon of dish soap.  (Brands don't matter to me in this case).

Wash then thoroughly dry the window 1 pane at a time. Start at the top wash then dry thoroughly.  For tilt in type windows tilt in and do the other side.  Move to the lower pane and repeat.  Lift the window to clean the inner and outer sill.

Many people use a squeegee (absolutely necessary for very large or high windows) but quite honestly most people have a lot of difficulty with streak and I don't find them practical for most home applications.
